Music Education

João has always had a lot of interest in music and good “ears” for rhythm and sounds. Last year (2019) he asked us to start having guitar classes and we decided it was time to investin this natural skill and value it. A friend recommended Carlos and we soon scheduled the first lesson.João started being even more into music and us, parents, were impressed by Carlos ́seducation methods. In our first conversation, we went through João ́s musical tastes, the songs in his playlist andthese were all used to design the future lessons. Carlos speaks the language of children! Usingpedagogical procedures such as gamification with challenges and levels, he moves forward ontheory and practice in a light and funmanner. To top it off, the main content of the lessons is recorded in video. The videos are available in acloud server so that my son can remember and practice during the week. Congratulations for the beautiful.

  • Carlos´ music knowledge, alongside with his clear passion for the instrument, were critical to my learning process since my first steps (should I say first notes?) in his bass lessons. With excellent didacts and a direct way of putting things, Carlos Jannarelli´s lessons became exciting adventures that arouses curiosity, the will to learn and, ultimately, the pleasure for playing the Bass Guitar. He´s a great instrumentalist, with profound knowledge of music theory, and a teacher that became a dear friend.
  • There´s always a certain fear of learning anything after you reach a certain age. The teacher´s got to be able to understand every student´s goal and work with him/her in that direction. Carlos Jannarelli has what it takes to provide that. He searches and uses the most proper didactics and he´s also a very kind person.
  • I study bass with Carlos Jannarelli since March 2019. His thrill when sharing his vast knowledge and his passion for the instrument are both contagious. His methodology ensures that the lessons are always dynamic and unique. He explores the styles and topics that we are fond of, but also presents new possibilities, genres and techniques, taking us out of our comfort zone. I salute Carlos and our weekly “bass hang”!
  • I started taking bass lessons with Carlos from zero, in august 2018, without even knowing how to grab the instrument. Since then, I believe I had great development. He uses a motivating methodology and he´s super patient with his students. He´s a bass expert, a multi-instrumentalist and he masters music theory! Besides that, Carlos celebrate and cheers every little step in our progress and that is really motivating when it comes to enduring in our evolution path. Thanks for believing that it would be possible, for each lesson, for each song and for all knowledge shared! To teach is one of the most noble missions and you master it!
