Music and Well-being

Carlos Jannarelli is a music educator, bass player, songwriter, music producer, mixing and mastering engineer and a mentor for independent artists and bands.

His main professional purposes are:

  • to assist individuals in expressing themselves through music;
  • to help people accomplish their dream of creating their own music, recording it with high quality, and having it distributed worldwide on music apps;
  • to emotionally and physically move people through his music and performances.

Throughout all his activities and fields, Carlos Jannarelli provides the socio-emotional benefits and overall well-being that music brings to those involved.

Empirical evidences suggest that the appreciation, practice, and creation of music are significant contributions to health and overall well-being. Well-conducted musical education evokes emotions, promotes self-awareness, develops skills and competencies, fosters healthy social interactions, and enhances brain functions.

Carlos Jannarelli holds a degree in Musical Education and has postgraduate degrees in Musical Education, Positive Psychology and the Science of Well-Being and Socio-Emotional Education. From another perspective, he is also a graduate in Business Administration with a postgraduate degree in Economic and Financial Management. He applies the technical skills from the latter in managing his own career and company, mentoring artists and bands, and guiding the registration and distribution of music.

Carlos was a member (bass player) of Heavenfalls, a Heavy Metal band that recorded two albums, physically distributed at the time by Hellion Records. The album "Reality in Chaos" is now available on all music apps. Heavenfalls performed alongside some of the world's best bands in the genre. They played with Iron Maiden at the then Claro Hall (now Qualistage) in Rio de Janeiro to an audience of over 8,000 people. They also shared the stage with Evergrey and Pain of Salvation at a packed Circo Voador (RJ), a feat that was later repeated in a show with Shaman. Additionally, they played at the traditional Ballroom, alongside other prominent national bands, to a sold-out crowd. Heavenfalls was part of the launch show for the magazine Disconnected at Garden Hall (RJ) and gained significant attention in both national and international specialized media, especially after the release of their second album.

• He was also a member of Flay, as a bassist, performing numerous shows in Rio de Janeiro and other states of Brazil. The band secured second place at the GAS Festival (a contest that involved thousands of entries from all over Brazil, organized by Som Livre and sponsored by Guaraná Antártica) and played on the main stage of the event with NX Zero, Detonautas, and Marcelo D2, at the Chácara do Jóquei in SP.

• He played guitar for Lagrima Flor, a band that recorded a music video with excellent reception (approximately 70,000 views on YouTube).

•As a bassist, he joined the Heavy Metal band Chronicode, with which he had the opportunity to record two music videos. Chronicode still maintains a solid fan base and received notable praise from Tony Iommi, the guitarist of the legendary band Black Sabbath, for a version of the song "Anno Mundi" that was made and recorded before his joining.

• He was the bass player for the band "Margot, Cadê Você?", where he had the opportunity to arrange and record bass lines for all tracks that were distributed on music apps. The band was well-received, and to this day, their released songs are widely listened to.

• He was the bassist for the original pop rock band Pietros, with which he had the honor of receiving the Young Brazilian Award for the music video "Todo Dia" (nearly 500,000 views on YouTube) and participating in the World Cup 2014 Trophy Tour event, sponsored by Coca-Cola, at the complex of the legendary Maracanã Stadium. The band has several singles available on music apps.

• Over the years, he has been part of other original rock and pop bands in Rio de Janeiro, notably Dahlia (as a founder and guitarist), Cynics (bassist), Arkham (founder and bassist), and Nimbus (bassist).

• He has numerous compositions, collaborations, and musical productions (involving also mixing and mastering) available on digital platforms. They are compiled in playlist on Spotify and on his YouTube Channel (see Songs menu).
